About us

4 mins read

Hello, this page is all about us. We are a family of 5 who feel like they have lived in oddness. I don’t mean that we’re crazy or weird. We have just had the pleasure of experiencing a lot of what the world has to offer. I have experience with adulting with mental illness and growing up in a complex family dynamic. My husband is a recovering addict who works as a med aid in an assisted living facility. Two of our kids are on an IEPs at school. We know a thing or two, because we’ve seen a thing or two (da-dum-ts). We have also found that there’s a common misconception that people have that they are alone in the world. We created this blog to share our life experiences with you. We hope that while you are here that you are able to laugh and grow with us as we live life for the very fist time. We want to share all the great things life has to offer and also lend a helping hand with some life advice.

I am sorry but you will not see any family pictures on this blog.

AI About us photo

Hi, my name is Jaiden. I had AI make this photo for me with the description of “woman with cheeseburger”. I was not disappointed. I will be the one writing these about us inserts and hosting this blog. I’ve always wanted to start a blog but didn’t know how… so now I’ve just decided to figure it out as I go.

I was born and raised in Nebraska. I have a degree in General Studies from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, a little lame I know. I was diagnosed at 29 years old with ADHD and that honestly explains my degree. I grew up in a blended family, my husband and I also have a blended family of our own. If you would like to know more about me please catch up with me on my “Ramblings” blog page 🙂 I’m an over sharer

This is what AI thinks my husband looks like. He does not have neck tattoos but it got the jist. Kelly grew up in South Carolina. He lived an extreme life and made a lot of radical decisions. But we are all proud to share that he has been sober for over a year. He has plenty of crazy and funny stories to tell. He now is proud to say that he is a med aid at a care facility/assisted living for special needs individuals. He really is just a big teddy bear.

E is 6 years old and in elementary school. He is my oldest and has been diagnosed with a speech delay. He has an IEP with his school so we can all work together to get his speech to a similar place as his peers. E is a very witty child. Always cracking his dry humor jokes at just the right time. He’s my clever fox, super sneaky at everything he does. He is also very kind and loves to help out around the house. Especially making everyone peanut butter and jelly sandwiches

C is 5 years old and also in elementary school. She is my middle child and is definitely my social butterfly. She also has an IEP at school for a minor speech delay. This girl knows no stranger and has no fear. She will demand her best dress while she helps work on the motorcycle. As the only girl she carries that honor be providing the healthy doses of drama.

L is 3 years old. He is the youngest and is all wild child boy with a tender heart. We are most likely to find him rough housing with his siblings, pets or even himself. Don’t be fooled though because he has the most tender heart.
